1. IEC 60322 — Fixed Wirewound Power Resistors
The flagship power-resistor standard. Defines climatic durability (-55 to +275 °C cycling), endurance (1000 hours at rated power), surge withstand, and the derating curve format you see on every datasheet. Hongyi's RX24, RXG24 and corrugated tubular series are tested to IEC 60322. If a supplier claims compliance, ask for the test report — issuing labs use IEC's signed PDF template.
2. IEC 60115 — Fixed Resistors for Electronic Equipment
The general standard for non-power resistor types — film, axial wirewound (RX21), and ceramic-cement (SQP/SQM). Specifies tolerance categories (F = ±1%, J = ±5%, etc.), temperature characteristic (R/T) bands, solderability tests (235 °C / 2 s wave solder), and reliability classes. Hongyi RX21 ships to IEC 60115-2 by default; cement SQP/SQM to IEC 60115-1 general requirements.
3. AEC-Q200 — Automotive Passive Component Qualification
The de-facto qualification for any resistor entering an automotive supply chain — Tier-1 OEMs (Bosch, Continental, Denso, ZF) demand it for safety-related applications. Test stack includes 1000 hours at +85/+125 °C, 1000 temperature cycles (-55 to +125 °C), biased humidity (THB 85/85), and ESD class. Hongyi's AEC-Q200 qualified parts ship with the full PPAP package on request.
4. RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU + (EU) 2015/863
Restricts 10 substances in electronic products sold in the EU: lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, PBB, PBDE, plus four phthalates (DEHP/BBP/DBP/DIBP) added in 2015. Hongyi resistors use lead-free SAC305 solder and RoHS-compliant materials throughout. Compliance declarations are issued on letterhead per shipment on request and are valid against the dated bill of materials.
5. REACH (EC 1907/2006) — SVHC Disclosure
Requires disclosure of any of 240+ Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) at >0.1% by weight in any article delivered into the EU. The SVHC list is updated twice a year; we re-verify our BOM against the latest list every six months. Hongyi resistors are SVHC-free in all current product families. Declarations are issued on request and dated against the active SVHC list.
6. EN 50155 — Railway Electronic Equipment
European standard for any electronic component installed on a rolling-stock train. Adds shock and vibration profiles per EN 61373 (category 1 body-mounted, category 2 bogie-mounted), temperature class T1–TX, and EN 45545-2 fire behaviour (smoke density, toxicity). Hongyi's high-power braking resistor cabinets ship with EN 50155 / 61373 cat 2 / EN 45545-2 HL3 test reports for rail-traction projects.
7. UL 1412 — Fusing Resistors
North American safety standard for resistors used as fault-current limiting fuses. Specifies the open-circuit behaviour (must not flame or eject material) when forced into thermal failure at 4× rated current. Hongyi fuse resistors are UL Recognized Components — find the file number E[6 digits] in our datasheets, then verify at UL Product iQ (https://iq.ulprospector.com).
8. ISO 9001 & IATF 16949 — Quality Management
ISO 9001 is the baseline quality-management framework — process documentation, traceability, corrective action. IATF 16949 is the automotive supplement layered on top, adding PPAP, APQP, FMEA and stricter customer-specific requirements. Hongyi holds both. Buyers can request the certificate scan, the issuing body name (we use SGS), and the certificate number for verification.
