Quality Control Process
Four control gates from incoming wire alloy to outgoing shipment — every resistor traceable to its lot, equipment and operator.
Why a separate quality page?
Certifications tell you which audit bodies have signed off; this page shows what we actually do on the shop floor every shift. The four-stage workflow below is what catches the rare bad lot of cement powder, the one-in-a-thousand resistance-wire drift, the loose terminal weld that a benchtop sample inspection would miss.
Four-stage QC workflow
- 01IQC
IQC — Incoming Material Inspection
Every reel of winding wire (NiCr, CuNi, FeCrAl alloys) is sampled for diameter, ovality, resistivity and tensile strength before entering the warehouse. Cement raw material is checked for moisture, particle size distribution and SiO₂/Al₂O₃ ratio. Reject lots return to the supplier with the test report attached — no quarantine, no re-use.
- 02IPQC
IPQC — In-Process Patrol
Every winding, encapsulation, lead-attach and curing station is sampled every 30 minutes — resistance value, body dimensions, lead pull strength. SPC charts on each station highlight drift before it produces a single non-conforming part. Operators have authority to stop the line on three consecutive yellow points.
- 03OQC
OQC — Outgoing Quality Control
100% electrical test of resistance value to ±0.5% of tolerance band, plus 100% AOI for cracks, solder bridges, missing legend and lead skew. Insulation resistance ≥1000 MΩ at 500 VDC sampled per shipping lot, and a withstand-voltage hi-pot test on every safety-critical part. Failures are physically destroyed at the line, not stored.
- 04RL
Reliability Lab
Long-term qualification — HALT (Highly Accelerated Life Test) on every new model, plus 1000 h life test at 70 °C with rated load and vibration to IEC 60068-2-6 (10–500 Hz sweep, 5 g, 3 axes). Reports archived for 10 years and shared with customers on request as part of supplier qualification packs.
Test equipment
Calibrated instruments behind each gate — accredited by external metrology houses on a published schedule.
| Equipment | Purpose | Used at |
|---|---|---|
| Keysight 34465A 6½-digit DMM | Resistance, voltage and current to 0.0035% basic accuracy | IQC / IPQC / OQC |
| Omron / Saki AOI cameras | Visual inspection for cracks, solder bridges, lead skew, missing legend | OQC |
| Qualmark / Envirotronics HALT chamber | −100 °C to +200 °C, 60 °C/min ramp + 6-axis random vibration to 60 Grms | Reliability lab |
